Oh my goodness! I am so excited to share my wonderful news with all of you. As most of you know, the past year and a half has been a bit rough for me in the job world. Three times in less than thane a year and a half, I lost my job due to the positions being eliminated or an office being closed. THREE TIMES!!! That is just crazy. The first time I was only out of work for a couple of weeks, but the second and third time were for 10-12 weeks each. You talk about beating a person down. This last time really got to me, but thank goodness I am blessed with wonderful family and friends that kept my spirits up as much as possible. Now for the good news. I have applied for over 90 jobs in the past couple of months with no luck, but a week and a half ago, I was contacted by Meramec Nursing Home and I hadnt even applied there. They told me they had just had the position of Social Services open up and said they thought I would be perfect for it and asked if I would be interested. I interviewed last week and they called me today and I got the job. I was in my car when they called and I have to tell ya, when I hung up, I was literally screaming with excitement and then broke out in tears. You see, my unemployment had just ran out last week. There wasnt going to be any money coming in and I was a bit freaked out and didnt know what I was going to do. Granted, I have wonderful family that wasnt going to let me live on the street or starve, but I dont want them supporting me. So let me tell you, God came through in a really big way today. I cant even put into words the feeling of peace and relief that I am feeling right now. Dont ever take it for granted about having a job, because let me tell you, there are plenty of people out there wanting a job so badly that it drives them crazy trying to find one. So, for many of my friends that I used to see when out marketing, Ill be seeing you again, because along with doing the social services work, Ill also help do a large part of the marketing. I start on Thursday. Thank you to all of you that have kept me in your prayers through all of this. It means more than you know.
