I just received this! 3.5-magnitude earthquake hits Dallas, Texas Jan 6, 2015 3:52 PM DALLAS (KLTV) - A 3.5-magnitude earthquake shook Dallas on Tuesday afternoon, according to the USGS. Initial reports indicate the earthquakes epicenter was about 3 miles northeast of Irving and 6 miles northwest of Dallas. This is near the junction of Highway 114 and Highway 183, near the site of the old Texas Stadium. The effects of the earthquake were felt in Irving, University Park, Dallas and Farmers Branch and other areas. This is the second earthquake to strike Irving in 2015. On Jan. 1, a 2.4-magnitude quake shook the same area. The cause of the quake has not been determined.
