Oh no! The New York City mayoral race drama! The NYC Mayor is not about social change or about universal healthcare. Its not about the "middle class". However, its about more mundane tasks such as fighting crime, keeping the peace, trash collecting, snow removal, etc. I remember 2010 when I was trying to get back home in a huge blizzard where the plow people were hanging out at the Dunkin Donuts not doing their job. People died in that storm. Thats what being Mayor is all about. So with all that said I dont think any of the candidates are qualified for the position. While they have touched on social issues, no one has touched on such topics as snow removal, trash pickup or keeping the trains going on time. They havent touched upon the city schools. I have a feeling whoever is elected...its not going to be pretty;)
