Oh this is good!! I just thought of this. Ok so.....in 9th grade, there was an Earth Science teacher that of course the first day they hand out the text book and you take it home. So these are highly intelligent students, they just for whatever reason (probably a bad teacher in Middle School) didnt get into the elite science class in 8th grade. I am talking about honors students...So peeps are failing tests that used to get straight As in just this class. No others. Kids that want to be in the Science field when they go to college!! So one by one stressed out students are going to the guidance office. So no parents would confront the teacher who was NOT TEACHING (guess who had to do it with their daughter and guess who is still teaching there despite abuse/ineptness complaints for years and years??). So the tests were on the TEXT BOOK chapters (which he snidely said 3/4 into the year you dumb asses are supposed to KNOW THAT) but at no time did the teacher teach from it, or assign homework for that content, (well they HAD homework, they just never knew) and no mention of information from the book being part of the test was verbalized/written the board NOTHING EVER. So the kids were studying the papers from the assignments and labs they did in class and on test days would be in total shock not knowing any of the answers. So all the test/quiz scores brought down everybodys GPA, there were meetings/confrontation/investigation/proof from Guidance about wrongdoing but nothing given back to these students and now some of those students cant get into the colleges they want all because of abuse of the privilege of teaching in WSD and we pay for it?? How many times is this repeated over and over in school districts let alone ours!! So for those students homework was assigned but never verbalized READ CHAPTER 1. So grading just on tests would really be a disaster for the poor unfortunate students that have this teacher. Jordanna was fortunately able to recover enough to get good enough GPA and other criteria to go to PSU Main campus but is choosing NOT to and to go to Berks. But you better believe that teachers is just lucky. Cuz if that was my KID I would lose everything to get him fired if he ruined my childs opportunities. It was bad enough going through it 3 yrs ago.
