Ohayo gozaimasu! Earlier this Wednesday, RSS Intrepid sailed into the Japanese port of Yokosuka, after two weeks out at sea, sailing over 3,000 nautical miles (over 6,000 kilometres) from Hawaii. Our stealth frigate was in Hawaii last month for RIMPAC 2014, the largest international maritime exercise in the world. RSS Intrepid is here in Japan to exercise with a Japanese destroyer, JDS Yuudachi, deepening our Navys friendship with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force along the way. Ex RIMPAC may have ended, but the adventure has not, for our sailors on RSS Intrepid. Welcome ashore, sailors!
