Oi oi boys and girls heres one from a new recruit the Mr Bobby Don on a recent session!! I turned up at Suffolk Waterpark on september8th late in the evening and spotted a few fish in peg 19 so i set up and got the traps out for the night!! After a night with no result I got on my toes and headed for the shallows as I knew the weather was screaming shallows for the carp, I climbed a few trees spotting a few fish, I decided to leave the swim for an hour or so before returning to find there were at least double the amount of fish in the swim and some chunks at that, I soon fetched a few bits and returned to the peg where I watched the fish move in and out of the weed and found that they had a pattern and followed the same route. So I started to scatter a few freebies on the path they took and after an hour or so one nose dived on a bait and started ripping through the weed and fizzing up, soon more joined in and the swim was like a jacuzzi. I spotted a big mirror cruising in using the same route so I placed a bait ahead of it and straight away it dropped on the bait and I saw my line twitch and off it went causing an almighty eruption in the water and shredding line off my spool it tore through weed beds to try and get free but after an epic battled I managed to slip the net under it and when I looked down I realised I had a target fish that of baby 4.3 at 33.11lbs. I had my pics and released her then sorted my rig out I looked up to see the same area completely clouded up and bubbles galore so I placed another bait just on the edge of the stirred up area I set my clutch and placed my rod on the ground, I turned to grab a few freebies and I heard the wonderful sound of line ripping off my spool I turned and struck into it. As the sun beamed down on the water I spotted that the fish was a two tone colour and the thought of what fish it was went through my mind. After another epic battle involving kiting two different ways, charging through weed beds and trying to get under a snaggy bush I managed to slip the net under her only to realise yet another target fish was caught in the way of 3 scale originally known as the five fish weighing in at 34.03lbs two thirties in a matter of minutes got to love days like that.
