Oil Gang release a killer grime EP from Novelist. Four hard-hitting and playful instrumentals: link.bleep/novelist-sniper-oil-gang Grime purveyors Oil Gang Records present the debut release from South East London producer and MC Novelist entitled the Sniper EP. Presented as four instrumental cuts, the opening title track ‘Sniper’ brings the combat zone vibes with a barrage of gun shots making you take cover whereas ‘Christmas Riddim’ plays on a simple chime melody with hard rim shots and blunt bass stabs. On the flipside, Novelist extends his hard-hitting grime sound into computer game territory with both ‘Mee2 Remix’ and ‘Messy’ offering playful synth keys with brash claps laid next to rock steady drum hits.
