Oil theft, I heard Mal Ribadu said on BBC Hausa this evening, cost - TopicsExpress

Oil theft, I heard Mal Ribadu said on BBC Hausa this evening, cost Nigeria about 5billion dollars loss of oil revenue (daily? Wkly?monthly?) I didnt hear that clearly as radio reception kept fluctuating. Whatever may be d case, those oil thieves seem to be telln Nigerians not from that part of d country that they are beyond reproach, beyond any kind of government sanction. "After all", they seem to be telln d rest of us, is not our oil!?" "Can a person steal his own property?" Or have they forgotten that "our own brother is on d saddle at d very center of power, and that he may well be aware and even give subtle endorsement, knowing fully well that because he cannot make every one of us instant billionaires, like Tompolo and Asari, we could help ourselves not a crime?" So, under d current dispensation, d country shall continue to lose billions in oil revenue for all this government cares. Let it prove me wrong if it aint so.
