Ok. Advice needed!! We got my 1911 model 66 into a treadle table and I tried it out. Somewhat like walking and chewing gum, I am thinking!! Problem is in the pix. I adjusted the tension...it is balanced according to the diagonal-stitch-and-pull-to -see-what-breaks test, but you can see how the stitching is puckering. What I am reading is that it is probably a bobbin tension that is too tight and that I need to loosen it, then adjust the top tension to match. I read the adjusters booklet, but my machine dies not have the doohickey you raise up with your nail to move the bobbin case over so you can take it out. Any thoughts on getting rid of the puckering stitching?? Or getting the bobbin tension adjusted?
