Ok All - this matters. The vast majority of us are member of the Student Union, and the GoGreen Society is supported/affiliated to the Student Union. Between the Midnight Weds 26th Feb & 6pm Friday 28th the student body will be voting for who it wants to lead its union and therefor who we want to represent us from 7th July 2014-2015. If we as student think there is anything wed like union to do differently (I can thing of a few things) this is our time to make it happen. If you read through the attached guide you will discover that we have to nominate the people we think would do the best job and nomination are open from 3rd Feb to 12 noon on weds 12th Feb (middle of GoGreen Week). There are 5 full time sabbatical officers, 7 part time officer and the Union Chair making 13. Of course we may wish to nominate someone for all of the position but the position which are most relevant to this society are Ethics & Enviroment, Comms (Campaigning), VP Societies, President . . . I personally feel that we would be foolish not to nominate someone from either GoGreen (or Young Greens... ) for Ethics & Environment Officer and Comms given the support someone in either role could (and maybe hasnt this year) give to the society & things its involved in. I cant really say this if I wasnt prepared to try and do a better job. Im sure many of us could think of things wed rather do with out time next year but often the best elected representative are those whod wouldnt choose to be rather than those partly doing it so they can put it on their CV. Given the timing with GoGreen Week and the fact the next meeting on the 4th Feb will be busy with GoGreen Week would people be up for going to pub on 28th Jan to discuss (unofficial meeting in wates?) . . ? If not when ? Anyone think someone would be good for a certain position ?
