Ok Guys, I know that you are not supposed to rant on FB but I have kept some people on my Facebook page and in my life … partly because I had considered them friends without realising the extent of their racist plights, then because I became curious and a little tolerant, and now I am at the end of my tither … Some might care and some might not … But although we have moved to Canada for plenty of reasons (and not necessarily why some people think we have!), my heart still has strong ties to South Africa! Now, I may not be a true Canadian as I am becoming less and less tolerant of friends being openly racist (typically South Africans, a few but not all), although just the other day at 2am, I had to put in place blondie who was trying to get First Nations people in trouble with Peace Officers. As I witnessed most of it, I told the Peace Officers that Blondie was playing victim although she was just as much at fault in instigating with her loud, vile mouth filling up my brain so much I had to ask her to be quiet! (which lasted for all of 5 seconds!) I was totally unnerved… I managed not to swear in front of the Peace Officer other than telling her I was pissed at Blondie at which she smiled and me wondering if she took it literally as I had a few to drink although could walk perfectly fine and very compos mentis. (downtown, public transport is a lot of fun at 2am) If one more South African or other friend is openly racist in front of me because they feel they can as they may assume that I sympathise. Well, I dont and I am getting more irate by the minute. Therefore, for those that are 1. Either be sensitive to my family and I, and keep your mouth to yourself, otherwise I will throw your religion in your face 2. Although you may be the nicest, most religious person on this planet, I will not be converted (although try telling somebody that you dont need to be converted and they absolutely cant read between the blimming lines and get it! as I feel absolutely under no obligation to tell anybody what my religion is to justify my social standing in life!) and then hear racist remarks… Capiche!?! Atheism, Gay rights, religious rights, pro-life, feminism, patriarchal, politics, gang bangs … whatever … these are individual rights and beliefs that can be discussed till the nth degree if you feel like it. However, racism I do care about … It is the most prejudice cause that is hurtful, demeaning and senseless bullying and pure nasty! Now I am not talking about jokes put aside by our famous South African comedian … Trevor Noah … if you can understand the difference! I know a lot might not get this and of which none of this applies but in all niceness I am starting to delete the few people that I find offensive and whom will never change (this does not apply to those with whom I think can hold an interesting debate or thoughts that I can learn from). If I havent deleted you, then I will not be offended if you feel offended by me for you to do the same. Ive had people delete my FB page for religious reasons which they hold true for themselves either bad jokes or difference in opinion … which is OK, I get that! I have stood up for many South Africans that have been subjected to humiliation and pure nastiness from oppressive mind thinking people in South Africa and in some instances kept quiet as I did not feel the need to open my mouth and change the minds of Bigots, Liars and Racists that will NEVER change! and then … be antagonised by them in my own home … (figuratively speaking) So why am I inviting something that I feel so strongly about in my space? crazy, huh?!? I did NOT move to Canada to get uptight only to witness more South African white nonsense brought to Canada, especially! Otherwise, I may as well move back to one of the most beautiful, vibrant, dynamic countries in the world! OK, Im feeling a little better now … and will sleep it off … Good Night!
