Ok, Here is my Ice Water Challenge Video, thanks to Curtis Warden & partially, Joseph Joebuyshouses Tomaselli. Im challenging some of my Breakthrough Brothers, Randy Cary, Gary Scardino & Mike Rothe. As well as challenging my son Garrison and his friend John K. PLEASE READ BELOW for more information about this disease from my friend Brandon James Duncan and how you can help out. From the album: Timeline Photos By Brandon James Duncan So I have been called out by Stephanie Cottle and James Williams to do this ice water challenge thing we all keep seeing on Facebook. Well, Im not going to dump ice water on my head and make a video for you all. I have plenty of reasons why and Im not going to waste anyones time explaining them. Theyre mine, not yours... Heres what I will do... Ill gladly donate $100.00 to help someone directly affected by this disease. I also took the time to learn more about ALS and share it with you all. ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrigs Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. The disorder is characterized by rapidly progressive weakness, muscle atrophy and fasciculations, muscle spasticity, difficulty speaking, difficulty swallowing, and decline in breathing ability. And Id like to introduce you to Steve Dezember II, a man that I have come to know over the past year or so through some mutual friends. Steve was diagnosed with ALS in August of 2011, and is currently fighting ALS with the support of his incredibly loving wife, Hope Cross Dezember. Their story is nothing short of fascinating and his will to live embodies the definition of resiliency and what it means to never give up. You can learn more about him and how to help at hopeforsteve and you can also donate directly to the ALS Association at alsa.org. I challenge you all to take a moment to learn about this disease and how you may be able to truly make an impact and help. Thanks, Brandon
