Ok, I did my very best not to post anything about this craziness going on. However, I have now failed. If you get offended by this post you have three choices; Get over it, delete me, or like it. Rioting and looting doesnt help this situation just like me rioting and looting my refrigerator isnt gonna help me lose weight. Many people want racism to stop. How can this happen when you post the things that your posting? Many of you are no better than the media. You continue to post black vs. white mess when you should be looking at it as a human soul and a human soul. All you are doing is fueling the fire just as the media. Your posting like the man that got shot was a part of the family. I would be willing to bet that none of you knew the man that got shot, yet many post that Ive read looks like yall were big buddies. I understand wanting justice and I respect that, however, is this the way to respond? Is this going to make the situation better? I guess I just dont get it because I dont see the human race moving forward if we continue to allow ignorance from another state, another city, another neighborhood make an impact of hate into our homes, families, and lives. I also dont understand some post Ive seen about liking the verdict. What about the verdict in the courtroom of the town in Kentucky today or the verdict from the courtroom of the town in Ohio today or maybe the verdict of the city in Texas? I dont see you bragging about those. Oh thats right, the media didnt cover these. The media didnt manipulate your little weak minds on these situations. Why? Because they wouldnt get any news coverage from this. They wouldnt make any money off of these courtroom cases. The verdict isnt a victory for whites. It isnt a victory for cops. It isnt a victory for anyone directly nor indirectly. I understand wanting justice and I respect that, however, is this the way to respond? Is this going to make the situation better? I know I said that again. It needed to be said again. If you have been on edge about the verdict, if you were rooting for either of these men to win.... well you may have race issues. Myself, I wasnt rooting for either because the verdict doesnt impact my life one way or the other. These are the things that divide us. We dont have to make it about us. When it comes down to it, this situation shouldnt be a white thing and it shouldnt be a black thing. However, this situation has become an ignorance thing. Ive seen some post by some folks that surprised me. People that I thought more highly of. Some folks may think that way about my post. To those I say this, Im a live and let live person. I dont allow actions of strangers in situation such as this impact my life negatively nor positively. What am I to gain from this verdict, either way? No matter the verdict, it wouldnt (and wont) impact my life one way or the other. What value of life am I to gain from the verdict? At the end of the day, we each have a life to live. Do you want to move forward or do you want to live in the past? Stop being glass half empty kind of people. Stop allowing the media to divide us. Stop listening to others and allowing them to manipulate your minds. Stop living in bondage. You are not a prisoner. You have freedom. Start living your life for yourself. Start making a positive difference instead of being negative. If you want a change, make a change. I know I may have offended some people and to you I would like to say Im sorry but you may have needed to hear it. I dont mean to disrespect anyone with this post. Just know, Im better than this, youre better than this, and we together are better than this. *Do not reply to this post with negativity. Do not reply racial comments or racial memes.
