Ok, I dont even know where to begin with this story. My wife Suzy has a work colleague in San Rafael, CA whose son is touring across the country with his grunge band Violent Opposition. violentopposition.bandcamp/ Well, they are in Knoxville tonight playing at an undisclosed location. Suzy, being the good host she is, invited them over for Southern cuisine. Since two of them were vegan she made a crock pot of vegetable stew. For the other two she made a pot of chili and cornbread. Dinner was capped off with fresh peach cobbler and ice cream. It was a pleasure getting to know them and hearing their stories of being on the road. These guys had no idea we were going to fill them up with food loaded with butter and sugar before sending them off to perform. I hope they dont start feeling sick from all the rich heavy food they consumed once they hit the stage and start jumping around. Just another page in my journey.
