Ok I have put off sharing this but greed has once again taken hold - TopicsExpress

Ok I have put off sharing this but greed has once again taken hold of a person and this time its pretty sad. Some of you know our dad died and we spent two years in court because he died without a will. Well the estate has been settled and that is behind us but what I recently found out I have to share. His wife decided after we settled the estate to go to the bank and cash in my son Levis childs savings acct that was set up for Levi where my dad and his wife would deposit his birthday and Christmas money. Daddy would include the deposit ticket in their cards that said in his hand writing Love Papaw and NeNe This account shows Levi as an owner but since he was a minor my dad and her name were on there too. So legally yes she could cash those out but why in the world would she want to? Thats not all. So a few days later, after cashing out Levis, she went back to the bank and cashed Victorias in too. Now I dont want to say how much she got from the estate because I am not allowed to (they made me sign a legal document preventing this) but I can promise you that she could survive on it until she dies and in no way did she need the $5000 that was in my childrens bank accounts. So it comes down to ethics and greed. Now before sharing this on FB I did try to go through the legal channels by contacting the estate attorney to have him ask her if she had inadvertently did this or maybe she just opened another account for them? I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt but I received my response today which said these were joint accounts with Steve and Lindas name on them. Ok so basically it doesnt matter if its right or not if her name is on it shes taking it. It doesnt matter that the kids were named as owner Ok I get it. Wow!! I can see trying to screw your husbands kids but his grand kids? Really? Especially knowing I was having another child and the right thing to do would have been to put Rivers name on Levis account since Levi isnt here anymore. I am still shaking me head wondering how a person can be so shallow. Ok well tell that to an 11 year old girl that had her 9th birthday at the funeral home during her papaw Steves visitation because she would not wait one more day. So since then Victoria says on her birthday mom why did We have to have papaws visitation on my birthday? And every year I have to say we didnt get the choice and all I can say is Im sorry because your papaw would have never wanted that. Also she wants to know why nene needed her savings account money? She said that money was given as gifts to me from papaw and thats all he left me. Great!!! another life lesson on greed and how life just isnt fair. Poor Victoria I think shes had enough life lessons for a little bit she cant seem to catch a break. Oh and thanks Nene for showing Victoria how greedy someone can be. In reality Im sure her learning this at such a young age will maybe help her to watch out for the bad guy, be more observant of her surroundings and be cautious before she trusts people. I guess there is a positive to all of this negativity after all. Well take the money if its so important to you because I would rather have Victorias heart and thats one thing I can promise you will never have again!! Nor any of the rest of us!! Thats all have a great day!!!!
