Ok, I have taken some time before I weighed in on the Ferguson situation, and when it came out, we were led to believe that this young man was a great, churchgoing, upstanding law abiding citizen. This was such a tragic event that could have been avoided. We have police officers who go out every day and put their lives on the line in order to protect out communities. Yes there are police officers that strong handedly enforce their laws, however as the reports come in, we find out that this young man, goes into a store and steals cigars, while pushing the store owner around. Even the young man who was with mr. Brown has changed his story to state that mr. Brown attacked the officer. The officer was attacked, and there is no way that an officer will ever know if another person is armed or not. The reports state that while the officer was still in the car as me. Brown attacked him thru the car door that mr. Brown tried to take the gun from the officer. If all of that is true then the officer was well within his right to defend himself. This officer has had no previous record of abusing his power, can me. Brown say that his record is the same. A picture says a thousand words. All I keep hearing on CNN is that Michael brown was a gentle giant... A gentle giant doesnt go into a store and man handle a store owner to steal cigars... I pray for the family of Michael Brown, but if a person submits to the authority of an officer, and show respect, I dont think the outcome would be the same.
