Ok. I havent really had the opportunity to say this today because Ive been a bit busy with work and driving and such, but now I have time. I will be completely honest, that I was upset with the recent announcement of Krewella at Global Dub here in KC but not for reasons that people may assume. I was upset because it felt like a very lazy headliner for a show and in the less than two years Ive lived in KC, theyve been here three or four times. I stated that I was losing faith in Global for that reason. I enjoyed having Global Dub being six months apart from Red Rocks and I feel like we could still have a different lineup for a festival that Global puts so much stock in. Now, for the announcement today. People are complaining about ticket prices and Skrillex being mainstream. Personally, I would drop $75 just to see Dillon Francis with no other headliners, let alone with a DJ that, like it or not, has removed himself from touring for the last couple YEARS, only having a couple festivals a year. I have been trying to tell people that Dillon Francis would be able to sell a TON of tickets on his own merit for the last year, yet no one listened. Just watch this show sell out, or at least get pretty damn close to it. Ok Im done now. Stop complaining about prices, people. YOU. GET. WHAT. YOU. PAY. FOR.
