Ok I just officially spent the last twenty minutes watching music videos. Anywho, I picked “Some Nights” by Fun. for this challenge for a few reasons. The first reason being that I absolutely adore this group as well as this song in particular and secondly because I am still unsure of what this song is meant to portray. Let me defend that last statement by saying that what I love about music and literature is that works can have different meanings for different people. That being said, I have somewhat of an idea of what Fun. was trying to say with this song, but unless I google interviews on them for a good hour or so to hunt the real meaning, I can’t know for certain. I’m sure many of you are reading this thinking: “So, she picked this song because she isn’t sure what it means?” Well, it ain’t called a challenge for nothin’. And sometimes if I pick a piece that I don’t fully understand, by the end of it I will hopefully have some grasp on it. So here it goes.
