Ok I know I am a hunter, but I need to vent a little. First and foremost I usually only take one deer a year and sometimes I pass them up and not take one. My area where my property is got hit hard two years in a row about 4 years ago with E.H.D. what people call Blue Tongue. Before that happened I usually take two weeks in a row off for vacation to hit the woods and between me and a buddy we would usually see close to 60 deer now I am lucky if I see 10 deer in that period. With that being said this disease has hit many counties in Indiana. We now have D.N.R. Department of Natural Resources and the N.R.C. Natural Resources Commission getting together and want to introduce high powered rifles to hunt deer next year. These are the same people involved with going to Eagle Creek Park and hiring sharpshooters to kill off the deer, they took 147 deer so far and are going to go to the other end of the park and take more after the first of the year. I love the wildlife and hope you do too. I drive past Eagle Creek Park two times a day going to and from work and in the last 3 months I have not seen one deer but before that I seen them daily.
