Ok I loved it, so heres the toast Soooo….it’s 1987, I’m sitting in Mr. Cross’s world history class, screwing around, talking about Rottweilers, and Chris, who I barely know, turns to me and says, “My girlfriend’s parents raise those dogs.” I’m like, “No kidding! I know a girl from the skating rink whose parents have rotties. Yadda yadda yadda…” Her name was Tammy back then. But then teenage life took over and Chris and Tammy parted ways. Chris and I did not however. We graduated together; weve crossed borders together; weve seen both coasts together. Weve been on a 38 state road trip together. Weve grown up together. Weve fought side by side, and with each other like brothers do, and weve buried a best friend together. In the midst of all that, through all of those times, he traveled back to the place where it all started. Chris found that girl from so long ago. And now, almost 3 decades later, I get to stand here, with some of the faces from then, and with the new faces added over the years, and usher in the next chapter of this wonderful love story. A love story that makes these 6 people…one family. Please raise your glasses with me.
