Ok, I need some help here. There is this idea floating around that the transatlantic slave trade was the result of African rulers selling already enslaved Africans into slavery. When I think about that and contrast it with the realities of the day....that is not logical. Please help me to understand the reasoning behind this and why so many black people have taken on to this idea, especially to justify why Africans and Africans in the diaspora are different people.
