Ok I try not to vent or start a debate on Facebook... But I dont get it why people would want to do a minimum wage increase to 10.00 an hour!! I have worked and raised a child working in fast food. I stayed OFF state assistance. I worked hard and made sure my money paid for what my children needed. I didnt buy candy, soda or other things that put MY needs before my children. You CAN live off $7.00. Is what you want no... Then you work hard and EARN a raise or promotion! Many people think this will help the people. One teacher of Morgan was saying that the fat cats will have to pay people what they deserve and they will take a pay cut... Seriously?! Wouldnt that be nice, hello reality... They are going to increase prices... Mcds dollar menu changes to $2.00 menu or people will loose their job because the fat cats wont be hurting in their pockets for very long. They will cut jobs.. If they paid you 7.00 for your job now you get 10.00 ,, now your going to work harder and work for two people. Stop and think of other jobs.... Unions.. Do you really think if you increase the wage that they wont go in during contract time and demand more money because wage increased? Guess what thy get paid more and what happens that company raises their prices... Then we are paying more money for that product.. So whos really winning?? Im sorry for the long rant but hoping that it doesnt pass.. Yes a pay increase but up to 8.00 8.50 possibly but 10.00.. Seriously?! Ok breathe tammy.... Im done ranting
