Ok I try to do this every few weeks for our new friends. Some of you have inquired about how I ended up with Pati.... Well About 9 weeks ago I was on Facebook and happened to come across the picture below (dreaded shelter pic). I went to the picture and read the comments. It stated that she was set to be euthanized in the days ahead. After reading the comments I realized quickly that someone had offered to adopt her. This person being from out of state tried to arrange transportation, however with skin issues Pati wasnt able to get on transport. So I agreed to foster her for a week while the individual who was adopting Pati cld arrange to get here (Ga) from Michigan to pick her up the following weekend. Unfortunately during that week there was a death in the family and she was unable to fulfill the adoption process. (at no fault of her own). So I agreed to foster her until other plans were made. The Green Ark Rescue stepped up and offered to accept Pati into the rescue. For a little background on Pati she was picked up as a stray in an area of Ga where a fight ring had previously been busted up. Pati was in very bad shape when she arrived at the vet. Her vet stated that she had obvious signs of being used as a bait dog. Not all but most of her teeth have been busted out and filed down, half of her mouth ripped off, an immense amt of scaring. As if that wasnt enough she had hookworms, whipworms, heartworms, tapeworms. She also suffered from extreme malnutrition. An example, the vet said on a scale of 0 to 9, (0 being dead)she was a 2. Of course Pati has come a long way. With a lot love a lil groceries she has moved mountains and stolen my heart ❤. I dont know what our future holds, but my hopes are that she can mix with my pack and stay here. If that doesnt work then I will keep her as long as I have too until I find the appropriate perfect home.
