Ok.. I went in because I woke up this morning with contractions. I knew it was real labor pains because they were different than the Braxton hicks I had been having. I was dilated to a 6-7 when I got here. The dr. Was waiting for me to get my epidural before she broke my water because she knew my labor would progress really fast after. This was a huge blessing! When she broke my water it was green.. When she went to move her hand he moved back up and the cord fell down. She tried to push the cord back up and had me push to move his head back down but it wasnt working. His heart rate started dropping and so with the dr taking a ride on the bed attempting to keep the cord in they rushed me into surgery. I was thankfully already numb from the epidural but still felt a lot of pain from the pushing and pulling they had to do. They gave me a ton of pain meds and by the time they finally got him out I was really out of it. I remember them saying it was a girl.. Made me laugh and think of course!.. They did get it straightened out and he is indeed a boy.. Absolutely no mistaking it lol.. But he was having a hard time breathing because he breathed in quite a bit of meconium. His sugars were low as well..I got to take a quick glimpse of him before they rushed him to NICU. He is doing much better now. His sugars are up and they are giving him antibiotics. He has to stay there for at least 2 days. I am having an incredibly hard time with this but I know its what is best for him. I am doing ok.. Hurting quite a bit but Im a pretty tough cookie so Im sure I will be up and walking tomorrow and able to go see him as much as I want. Prayers please for him to continue to recover well..
