Ok,Im sayin my bit. In the past two weeks Ive been subject to profound abuse on FB, had my name slandered ,my wife and children named , been accused of having a fake profile page ( which I have not nor have ever had) and of being someone Im no . Told that I export animals live ,therefore am a basted breeding basted kids who are being educated into a life of blood and misery as well,had personal photos of myself,mates and even one of my with Toby cut out on a recent fishing trip, pasted up on a page of what can only described as patheticism. Did I do anything to provoke this sort of childish ,gutless , and immature behaviour from those who are too bloody spineless to confront me other than behind fake names and profiles. No,I dont believe I did.Yes I responded to this filth ,only after I was informed that my wife Lucy ,had been named. So just to clear the air; Yes,I farm sheep, and Yes I have a stud that breeds fine wool of the highest quality I can. And those that know me are well aware of my commitment to the obvious soil health and benefits derived from a holistic farming approach incorporating livestock. Yes, sometimes I sell into live export markets if that is the option best afforded to me at a time that I feel is necessary to offload and reduce numbers on my property at the time. No,this is not the only market I supply,and often refuse on farm sales to LE buyers. In fact ,I havent actually sold a sheep to live export for the last three years and am again withholding wethers in discus tat prices currently being offered. Yes I support fundamental welfare improvements in the LE trade and realise its importance in the overall scheme of animal production. Yes I foresaw and warned government of the implications and welfare detriment that would ensue were live export ever to be halted, though I never foresaw the drought that further complicated this issue and ravishes the eastern side of Australia to this day. And lastly, no,contrary to some accusations and beliefs, I have barely engaged these dimwits since my children were threatened,over twelve months ago,following a long and repetitive barrage of biogas phone calls to our residence. Yes I complained and yes I believe action was taken in some form against the purpatrator. And yes ,I have spent the last twelve months urging others NOT to engage these ,obviously deranged ,morons and the reason being as Ive stated above. You can never reason with the unreasonable and you will never redirect those who choose to be lost.
