Ok... Ive read some post that I have trouble swallowing!.. To blame our coaches for our team being 3-5 is ridiculous!... These coaches work as hard or harder than any group we have had in here!... Problem is, look at the hand they were dealt!... Only 4 home games with 6 on the road, and almost all our tougher opponents are away!.. That combined with they were left with practically no experienced skill position players because no younger kids got any playing time last year even in blowout victories! Also our team speed as a whole is probably slower than its been in years!!.... As bad as you may not want to hear it...quite frankly our kids are just not making the plays!... If you look at our game films objectively you will see where Im coming from!... We are missing blocks, missing tackles, dropping passes, missing reads, etc!... And my son is a SR, and he hasnt made all the plays he should of either!... But instead of blaming coaches, I try and point out to him on the game films where he messed up so he can improve!... Coaches coach and players play!!... It is up to our kids to step up and make the plays!... And it takes all of them, because we have no superstars!!... Fact is last year we had a talented group of SRs with a talented group of JRs!!... Most of the skill kids were SRs!... The JR and Soph classes this year do not have a lot of skill kids...they are mainly linemen!... Nothing against them for that...it just happens that way at times in every school!... Therefore we have turned to a bunch of younger kids that were playing JR high ball this time last year and asked them to step up and help out the varsity!... These kids could have benefited from a year or two on JV, but did not have that option!... Point is we have a new coaching staff working hard with a lot of young kids!... Do I agree with every decision the coaches make?... No I dont!... But everyone has their own opinions!!.... All I can say is come on boys and coaches....lets go get ND and PP!!... Lets win these last two games and head into the play-offs on a high note!!!... Win or lose you will have one guy for sure up in those bleachers rooting you on and supporting you 100%!!... SRs this week will be the last time you play a football game on our home field!!... This is your time to shine!...Play hard and cherish the moment!... Give it all you got!!!... Win or lose just enjoy the game!!!... It is something you will never get back!!!...Now Go get em boys!!... Go Jackets!!
