Ok. Now that I am a little calmer about the Grand Jury Verdict, what have we as parents learned from Michaels Brown death? First of all, some kids are not saints and neither was I. Therefore, we as parents need to keep a closer eye on our kids and monitor their behavior at home, school, on the streets and on the internet. Most important, we must make sure that they are choosing their friends wisely. (It’s a hard job, but it’s something that we as parents most do). The media, some white folks, the system and the police used the store video robbery and pictures of him holding a gun on the internet in order to assassinate his character, and it worked. In their minds, he was nothing but a Thug who was looking for trouble and got what he deserved. We can’t bring Michael Brown back from his resting place, but we can try our best to make sure that our kids don’t follow the same destructive path. Parents your kid’s lives are now in your hands because one mistake could cost them there life. #RIP Michael Brown#
