Ok, Ok, I feel like clearing my throat so let me clear it - TopicsExpress

Ok, Ok, I feel like clearing my throat so let me clear it now. As you all know, FIFA has paid Ghanas prize money of $8 million for the Black Stars participation at the 2014 World Cup and the GFA is preparing to pay back the $4.5 million or so that government advanced the team before the World Cup. In fact, we are told that the money will be paid back this afternoon. I have a few questions though and here they are. 1. Since monies paid and received are being investigated by the Presidential Commission of Enquiry and the Commission is yet to finish its work, wouldnt paying back this money eventually render the work of the Commission irrelevant? 2. My sources tell me that the GFA has supplied 16 of the 20 names that were said to have benefitted from the $577,500 and the Commission is yet to receive the remaining 4 names. So why is that not done before the GFA pays back the money to government? 3. Is the speed with which the GFA is prepared to reimburse government not a situation that could potentially beg the question of whether the GFA and the Ministry of Youth and Sports are lying in the same bed and could be conniving to render the Commissions work irrelevant? 4. If government paid for bonuses, per diems and protocol during the World Cup qualifiers, and the GFA say that they receive no money from government, then would that not mean that perhaps government has to take the entire money that has arrived, just like it happened four years ago, so that the money is swallowed into the Consolidated Fund? I am just asking some questions #everymoneyscatterscatter
