Ok.. Since this has been the topic of a few private discussions, I am going to go ahead and bring it up publicly. Its probably going to be a very unpopular post; but here goes! What is more important? 1. The apparent (still unconfirmed, pending investigation) suicide of a celebrity. Executed by his own will, in the privacy of his home. 2. The apparent (still unconfirmed, pending investigation) murder of an unarmed college bound 17-year old by. Executed by a police officer, in public view. ????? I apologize (not really) for mourning and focusing my energy on #2 these past couple of days. Its not that I dont care at all about the self-inflicted death of a 63 year old, successful and wealthy comedian and entrepreneur. That is tragic on many levels (although probably not on the levels that most are thinking of). I simply care about the untimely and unjust death of a 17 year old at the beginning of his journey a bit (infinitely) more! Not to mention the fact that its yet another questionable death enacted out by a police officer (unarmed victim with arms raised in the air, multiple gunshot wounds, at least 2 shots fired after the boy was on the ground (now unarmed and mortally incapacitated), multiple witnesses). I need to get my priorities in order!
