Ok Tigers fans, heres my (our) memory of the 1984 year of the Tiger: 1984... if you follow my posts at all, you know Bruce and I got married that year. We both grew up big fans of the game and the only team that mattered was in Detroit. I have a son who at that time was not quite 10 and already a fan as well. So, here we are - our new little family, watching the Tigers do amazing things and celebrating every win! It was, indeed, a very good year and on Oct 14th, 1984 we cheered our team to victory! Three years later our team again was doing great things - not the series, but certainly some pennants were flying high!! We also gave birth to our daughter - October 14, 1987. Another great year. Then as we know... there was a L O N G dry spell. But in 2006, our Tigers roared again... and came close - Bruce and I became first time grandparents that October. And in 2009... well not great, but not bad - a second grandson (this time in January). Its time for someone to take the torch from us - were fading. Any takers? Although... our daughter did get married this year. :)
