Ok, YALCon 2014 photos. My inbox is full of messages asking about them, so I know people are getting impatient. Im going through them right now, and I have a serious problem. I shot over 12,300 photos during the conference! WTF man, I need help. This is not ok. Im about half way through looking through them for the first time (which has already taken me several nights to get to this point), and my first round of potential selections is so far already over 1600. Dear god. That will be narrowed down a lot further after additional passes, but Im sure theres no way Ill ultimately narrow the album down to only 1000 photos; so this will have to be split into 2 albums. There will be an album of extras to come first to wet your appetite for the subsequent main 1000 photo album with the best stuff. Im leaving for DC tomorrow to shoot LPAC, and I will pick up where I left off when I get back on Sunday night. I dont have a solid ETA date, I just have a gignormous mass of photos that Im trying to get through as quickly as possible. This is the biggest album photo project Ive ever attempted, and its insanely overwhelming. To get a better idea of what Im dealing with, please download 12,000 random photos from the internet, and see how long it takes you to look through all of them and narrow down your favorite 1000 selected photos. By the time you do that, I will have this album selected, each selection edited, and all of it arranged into a compelling experience. You might have noticed my prolific output lately, Ive been working on so many photos non-stop since I got back from the conference. I apologize for the wait, but everyone at the Young Americans for Liberty Conference can feel comfortable knowing one thing is for sure: I wont let you guys down. Stunning shots are coming, and A LOT of them! :)
