Ok a couple of thoughts ..(1.)I would love to own one of these...(There is an area in an impoverished town that sells grand old abandoned homes for 1 dollar,and they are eligible for loans and if they make them livable in a years time they can keep them.I could do that)(2.)My other thought is it would be wonderful if instead of using it as a write off...the owners would use it as a donation. There are thousands of families.Good families that could use this like a co op. Family housing for displaced families. It could be temporary.They could sign to agree to take care of maintenance and making it livable in place of paying a mortgage or rent. and do an HOA type small fee for grounds and common area upkeep...I dont know...its just a thought..I hate seeing unutilized spaces when I work with some that would love a place to live.
