Ok all my Southern Cooks I need your input. Mom determined it was to cold to venture out, sooooo, her source of entertainment for this afternoon was to cross one of my last remaining southern cooking thresholds. Chicken and Dumplins. One of Moms favorite teaching methods is to help you fail in some areas so you will know not to do that the next time. aka go ahead and toss a few in there before it starts to boil. Oh but if it doesnt boil soon enough those will dissolve, hello MY FIRST TIME. That was the second teaching endeavour. The first was.... and this is where I would like feedback, I dont remember all the recipe pull it up online. Ok Paula Deen has Diabetes and after seeing her Foodnetwork recipe which tells you skin on chicken which also leaves you with a broth filled with sooo much floating chicken fat that I tossed the first and went and bought 2 more cans of broth, salvaged the veggies but too much fat for me to see in the pot. Tell me was it ok or did I do the right thing in tossing the greasy version?
