Ok all my Yes stuff is campaigning material that I love to share. But let me share something personal. I am homeless (not roofless thanks to my friends) but homeless because I cannot afford to pay extortionate and rising rent for a one bedroom flat. Homeless as in I do not have a place to call home and to call my own. I am a lodger. In the last 12 months this has now actually become impossible. I have had 5 addresses in the last 12 months through no fault of my own. Im 33 years old. I have an education which I have worked hard for and would not have been possible if it werent for free tuiton fees in Scotland although im still £16k in debt in student loans. I have always had a job throughout for the last 19 years since I was 14 years old. It took me until I was 31 years old and many many years of study, work, sacrafice and struggle to have a decent paid job and I still cant afford my own home, rented or otherwise. I am relaint on a good friend with a spare room to have a roof over my head. I am 33 years old and I cannot fathom bringing children into the world when I cannot provide a home for them if I cannot even provide a home for myself. This is the impact of a tory government on my life. This is the outcome of capitalism and rich people buying up property unregulated at all and renting at extortionate prices to make themselves richer and richer and richer. This has got to stop I wont even go into the catastrophic impacts that tory rule has had on my life and that of my family and friends. Im talking about the here and now. Im voting YES because I see the impact every day on everyone around me of the right wing elitism that is bleeding us dry. I am also voting YES for myself because I am homeless under this right wing agenda which we are ruled by and if it continues my life chances are still very limited no matter what ive done and been through to escape poverty. And so are so many others. Please.Vote.YES.
