Ok all my running-enthusiast friends, some EXCITING news! As you may/may not know, Im going to be coaching the EHS boys soccer team again and Ive got a new fundraiser that Im pretty stoked about... We are going to hold a BIATHLON on the 23rd of August starting and ending at EHS (probably in front of Centennial Gym or the Track (it wont be hard to find)... The cost for the biathlon is only going to be $40! Heres how it works: The first part of the biathlon is a 5 mile run that will start at 7:30 a.m. The course will take you through a good, challenging (but not overwhelming) route and end up back at the same place (EHS). The second part of the biathlon is a 5K run that starts and ends at EHS (crazy, right?) and is a much more gentle course with mostly flat ground and only one short uphill. Heres where the tricky part comes in; the 5K starts 90 minutes after the 5 mile run! So, that means you have to strategize on how to keep loose and be ready for the 5K after finishing the first run because the overall winner will be the person (hopefully in each category) that has the fastest combined time for both events! Keep tuned in for more information and course maps! Im also going to allow single event registration if you just arent able to do both for $25 so keep that in mind as well.
