Ok,,,,another topic about Okolona came about this Morning when I was at Advance in Middletown talking to Bill,,who has lived in Okolona for many many years. He was talking about all the fantastic businesses that used to line Preston,,from Bittersweet Center all the way to Edgewood area. We were talking about the area near Southern,,St.Rita Drive,,Famous Way,,,Jerrys,,,and Etc. I asked him what the name was of the old gas station that sat where Rallys is now across from Southern. He swears he cant ever recall a station on that corner across from Headys that fronted Preston. I told him,,,I know there was one for sure,, I thought the name of it was Topps Gas ( not the department store on Outer Loop ),,,,he was so funny today,,,it was bugging him to death trying to remember that Station there.He usually doesnt say much at all,,,but he was abuzz today telling me every so often he still couldnt remember it and his mind must be going,,,Lol. What was the name of the Gas Station there so I can relieve his mind please ?? Lol. Anyone have a picture of it ?
