Ok, because I have been asked this question multiple times in the last couple of days.... what about white men killed by the police - you dont see us rioting... and similar statements. I have seen one particular instance put forth and that is of Dillon Taylor who was shot by police in Salt Lake City Utah when he didnt comply with officers demands and he had his hands in his waste band and told the officer No fool when told to stop (There is body cam video that shows these incidents taking place). (thefreethoughtproject/body-cam-shows-unarmed-dillon-taylor-shot-da-rules-justified/) The major difference in this incident is the body cam video that supports the police officers account of things and the DAs finding of justification... see how that works Ferguson PD. Other than that, this is one incident... so there is one unarmed white man for every 12 unarmed black men killed by police with little to no consequences for their use of force actions. And why is there no outrage among more white people about this brutality? Why was there no rioting on behalf of this man? I mean, white people are great at being destructive and riotous when their football team loses and/or wins, when their beloved football coach loses his job for molesting young boys, or over Pumpkins.... Come on white people, if youre going to riot at least riot for a Cause. But the real answer lies in the fact that white people as a whole are not subjected to the systematic discrimination and racism that non-whites are. Compare the news stories of white Judges, lawmakers, attorneys, etc. getting pulled over by police across the nation vs. their non-white counterparts. What you will find by overwhelming majority is that the white judges/lawmakers/attorneys are driving drunk and committing other crimes but taken home by the officers and their stop swept under the rug. In comparison their non white counterparts are forced out of the car at gunpoint, searched, and harassed before being let go because they were doing absolutely NOTHING wrong.
