Ok....blowing a little steam. I just watched a heartbroken Mom and Dad who read their sons suicide note on CNN. Their son, a Gulf War veteran, was suffering from physical pain and PTSD but couldnt get through the VA bureaucracy. Their son said that all he had to look forward to everyday was to sleep because nothing else was worth living for so he was going to a permanent sleep. I dont give a damn whos responsible here and I dont care about the politics. As a country, we have never treated our veterans adequately and that goes back to the Bonus Army marchers in the administration of Herbert Hoover! If these bastards, yes bastards, in Washington are so eager to send our young blood and treasure to war, then they better damn well spend the money to take care of them when they get home. Or better yet, lets think long and hard about sending any kid to war, in the first place, and if we do, the sons and daughters of Members of Congress are the first to go. Wanna bet how much things will change then? Ok....feel better now.
