Ok everyone. I just saw one of the worse hate videos Ive ever seen and promptly unfriended the person who posted it. This is about the 5th or 6th person Ive done this with over the last couple weeks. Its reaching a point that I need to make my feeling known. I dont tolerate haters. Period. I dont want to see your biased, uneducated posts. That being said, allow me to clarify. I welcome opposing ideas. I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion. But, I expect statements to be able to be backed up by facts. Facts from a credible source. This does not include regurgitating crap that is stated by biased media and yellow journalists. If you make a statement of fact such as, Obama is the worst President we have ever had. I will counter with, Based on what evidence? The same goes with any other similar statement. If it is your OPINION, then say so. In my opinion, Obama is the worst President we have ever had. See the difference? Ill still ask, Based on what? and I expect to be able to hold and intelligent debate if my opinion differs. If you cant do that, keep your opinions off my page. Why am I putting this out there? A friend of mine posted something similar and Im going to steal it and use it here. Among other things I am seeking peace, love, understanding, and tolerance in my life. To that end I have decided that there are certain things I can not tolerate any longer. If you find yourself answering yes to any of the following questions please do us both a favor and defriend me. I am doing this now before political BS season starts and after a few days of hateful BS on other issues. Breast feeding, public or otherwise, is wrong. All unions are bad. Our government is without question. in some circumstances, women are asking to be assaulted. ALL Christians are good. ALL Muslims are bad. The state of Israel is right to do anything it wants. America is solely a Christian nation and all others should leave. Christians have the right to force their ideals on the general population any time they so choose. No illegal immigrant should be offered the opportunity for citizenship. Anyone who speaks with a foreign accent is either an illegal or a terrorist. The Democratic party is always right/wrong. The Republican party is always right/wrong. Being a member of the LGBTQ community is simply an aberrant lifestyle and deserve hostility. Being a member of any minority group means you deserve to be treated as less than human. These absolute, narrow-minded views arent only wrong, theyre dangerous. They represent an extremist mentality. Almost every terrorist in the world either holds an extremist view or comes from a group that does. History has shown that these extremist views foster the worst possible behavior. Roman treatment of Christians, the Spanish inquisition, the Nazi genocide, ect. Nothing is an absolute.There are sinners and saints, assholes and awesome in every race, religion, color, and creed in the world. Most of us fall somewhere in the middle. If you believe otherwise on any of the above subjects or hold any other absolute/extremist view, then I wish you luck and love but I dont need you in my life. Take care.
