Ok, everyone. Thank you. The FB purge is complete. 350 folks have been given the ax. Among them: 1) 20 genuinely famous people. Meh. 2) 6 people I slept with (note: there are a few minor intersections between point 1 and 2) 3) 30 actors who friended me for the sole and unique purpose of asking me a business question and I havent heard from since. Guess what? I have a work email and a work phone. You pay my salary. Reach me there if you need me for something and dont want to be my friend. 4) 50 or so people I genuinely have never heard of/seen before--must have been a drunk/driveby friending thing. 5) 3 dead people, one of whom committed suicide 3 years ago. Updates are pretty sparse there, so whats the point? 6) One guy who keeps messaging me about how luxurious my hair is (its true, but still...weird, dude) 7) A drag bar in New Zealand (WTF? I blame Doria Biddle for that one because shes the only person I know who went there in the last 5 years) 8) 5 people I genuinely have an interest in snogging but will never, ever have enough game to seal the deal, so why torture myself? 9) 3 people I work with who cant be bothered to say hi to me when they pass me in the halls but for some reason want to read my stupid ramblings on here occasionally. Guess what? Youve been checked--now you have a genuine reason to avoid me in the halls. And.... 10) 5 people who RSVPd to my birthday party, who practically begged me to throw it because they wanted to see the view, and then didnt show up, didnt bother to cancel, and didnt apologize after the fact. YOU losers owe me for the cost of some beers, too. Can I just tell you how incredibly liberating this exercise was? I highly recommend it to all of you. And, if you believe you were unfairly unfriended, drop me a friend request and Ill accept it, of course. Just try and do better next time. I know what Im worth. Do you? Gnight all!
