Ok first up...answering Gabrielas question on protein powder. The health food /supplement industry is huge and these companies do try to make these drinks seem like muscle building miracles. However, as I have preached for years; nothng beats whole real food. If you are eating enough protein in real food then you do not need to supplement no matter what you read. Having said that, sometimes life gets crazy and using a pure undenatured protein powder can be helpful. I would try to rely on real food most of the time. I use real food for my postworkout meal. I do use pp but very rarely. Read the ingredients, most pp has lots of added fake sugar, chemicals, lots of junk in them. Something modern man forgets is that we are not meant to drink liquids all day, our digestive systems were made to chew and eat real food. Our brains know what to do with real food. Here are some great choices...Eggs, plain greek yogurt, no salt plain cottage cheese (use dairy sparingly), chicken, turkey, grass fed meats, lean pork, fish, shellfish, quinoa. I aim for about 1 - 1.4 grams of protein per pound of body weight. You can go from 0.8 grams up to 1.4 depending on your goals. I aim to go higher as I am trying to regain the muscle I lost since competition. Does this help?
