Ok folks, little Precious update This is the poodle that we initially thought was lost and were looking for her family, only to find that it appears she was abandoned by the only family she had left. This girl is overall awesome, still has a lot of love to give and at least some life to live. I know shes estimated at 15 years old, but if she has Cushings or diabetes, they are both treatable, and I want to be able to give her everything she needs. The pics posted of her previously are definitely caught of her good side. These pics show her in all her glory, and she sure has a lot of glory! lol She is 15.4 lbs, and probably should be in the 7-8 lb range as tiny as her frame is. She has grown on us so much in only 3 days, she absolutely adores my sons and even if she cant see them well, as soon as they get close enough for her to see them, her whole butt wiggles! For such big, nearly grown boys, they turn to mush around her! I feel like after all shes been through, she deserves comfort and love for the rest of her days and we want to be the ones to give that to her! There are several medical approaches she is going to need and even being conservative (because of her advanced age), the immediate cost is beyond my budget right now. I will have money next month, but I dont want to make her wait that long! My husband and I have a maxed out Care Credit that well have to pay down this Spring, because my son had an accident and knocked out a permanent tooth that couldnt be re-implanted, and needed extensive cosmetic dentistry and orthodontist care. :( Precious needs a senior lab/bloodwork panel-which will check for many things, including diabetes, and will include many indicators of if she does suffer from Cushings. She is in need of an abdominal ultrasound (it feels like she may have a growth in her side), and she is in desperate need of dental work (as much as she can tolerate). I HATE asking for any type of help, and I dont expect it for all these things, but it would be amazing if I could get her started at least and get a good idea of what were facing. Do you all think a gofundme account would be a worthwhile idea? I know Gailor was willing to accept donations directly towards CeeCees care, so Im sure theyd do the same for Precious also. Im open to suggestions on any ideas you all might have. I hope I can spread the word and get everyone to recognize that she is worth every cent invested in her! If we could go around meeting everyone, youd instantly fall in love with her!
