Ok...for those of you that know me well, would know that I do not get easily offended or get my feelings hurt by peoples ignorance regarding my Hispanic background/culture or much of anything else. However, it never ceases to amaze me, that in todays age, the ignorance and intolerance that is still alive and breathing. Even by fellow Hispanics, who were born and raised here, or who deny that part of their culture/heritage. I think they take the word alien too literally. Hello people, your ancestors either came from Mexico or other Latin American countries/regions. You didnt just appear here one day. Or, maybe the Mother Ship is actually real. Ill have to look into that...stay tuned... I bring this up because I was just asked if Mexico had indoor pluming and where did Mexico buy their water from since their water isnt drinkable. This question from an educated person, which I view as worse than your average uneducated person. I didnt have to say a thing, my look said it all. At lease he had the decency to get embarrassed and didnt speak another word. Yes, my looks are legendary. The majority of the time I dont have to say a word. Just look at my face and the answers are all there. Which, I have been told are far worse than any words I could have spoken.
