Ok for those who dont yet know my Dad Jim Bray is in the hospital in Bowling Green Ky. He went into his regular Dr. for a follow up to bronchitis and pneumonia and when they checked his heart it was not doing well. They gave him nitro and sent him to the ER. Testing revealed damage to the heart from what appears to be past heart attacks and his enzyme levels were elevated again. They tried to do a less invasive surgery but due to the level of blockage were not successful. He will have to have open heart surgery. This is tentatively scheduled for Monday if some of his medication have cleared his system enough to permit safe surgery. If all goes well he could be back to light duty work in 4 to 6 weeks and full duty in 8 weeks. Now for those who know my Dad they will not be too surprise to know that he is acting like nothing is wrong. He is upright, talking, taking business calls, having dinner, and being his usual self. While the Dr. is baffled as to how he is even conscious. As usual my Mom the worrier is taking this a bit harder than my Dad. She is doing her best to be there for him without panicing but the more they find out the harder that is to do. Please keep him and my mother in your thoughts and prayers.
