Ok friends, I am currently attempting to change careers, from an Executive Assistant to a Correctional Officer. I have been working on this for a year as of March 19th. Just took my Pre-Employment Medical and Hearing tests, so far everything looks good I just need to do a fitting for my Gas Mask (I guess theres a lot of farting there (jk)) and an academy date. I did accept an offer for the facility in Susanville (High Desert) but some friends at the home facility here are trying to pull me over back home. I gotta tell you Im proud of myself I went through several test to get here. ~ Obstacle Course - had 5:05 minutes to complete, I beat the time by 0:57 seconds! ~ Written test ~ Live Scan ~ Background Check ~ Vision Test ~ Written Psych ~ Oral Psych ~ Physical ~ Drug test ~ hearing Ive worked in a shit load of jobs like, construction, Retail, Technology etc which is why I know a little of everything, I actually replaced all toilets and water faucets in the house, which is why I have no problem in making the change. I thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. Although it could mean that we have to move. The kids dont know about the move but are excited about me having a new Job.
