Ok guys, cards on the table time. People keep saying there has to be a mass clear out. . With their being plans to overhaul our scouting system and possibly nicking Southamptons head of recruitment, and the likely departure of Baldini, I can only assume Daniel Levy is planning another big spend, and no doubt Mauricio Pochettino has been charged with working out those that need to go. . He has admittedly been guilty of playing our worst players in recent weeks in the league, and he did give extra responsibilities to both Kaboul and Adebayor in the hope those added duties would bring out the best in them. Which has failed. . However I dont believe for one minute he sees these two as long term solutions. Hes obviously given them the extra responsibility, hoping they would raise their games, but hes an intellectual man, and Im sure he is thinking exactly the same as us. Theyve let him down (Keep reading lol).. . However when you have players who are failing, but earning £60k-£170k a week, you need to keep them in the shop window. After all, Whos going to buy a striker who earns a high wage, if they cant even get in our team. He needs to give the outside world the impression he rates these players, that way someone will want to buy them when January comes. . This is probably why, he has told us the fans, NOT too expect big things in the league this year, and this is why we have been playing our best players in the cups. Pochettino and the players, have both said we are making a big push for the cups this season. So, I honestly think we are using the league games, to put those we dont see having a long future in the shop window.. Those with questionable attitudes or just not good enough. Except for a select few who have played in all competitions.. And this is why hes been trying to not play Kane in all competitions, as he sees our main focus as getting silverware this season, and keeping Kane fresh, is our best chance of that.. . I honestly think, the following players are all playing for their futures, and as much as it looks as these players are his favourites, it is actually quite the opposite and each and every one is in the shop window with a price tag above their head. There has been many rumours of late that Dembele and Vertonghen are actually two of the biggest problems behind the scenes.. Dembele threw a massive strop after we failed last season to get champions league and then Belgiums early exit from the WC. . Players under the microscope and in shop window imo.. And judging by all the recent stories. If they dont go January theyll be gone in the summer. . Emanuel Adebayor Roberto Soldado (Sad but probably true) Jan Vertonghen (good player questionable attitude) Moussa Dembele (He sulked big time after the WC) Andros Townsend (inverted wingers dont work) Aaron Lennon (same reason as townsend) Kyle Naughton (only because of Yedlin, Walker) Vlad Chiriches (Good as gone) Paulinho (Good as gone) . I have full confidence Pochettino will get the players he wants to replace them, especially if we get his friend from Southampton. COYS!!!!! MG
