Ok here goes. She is still intubated but they are slowly walking her up so that they can remove the tube. It is a very slow process because she needs to breath on her own, swallow without choking, cough, etc. Shes still responding to pain very well. But she has showed diminished movement on her left side and is responding to voice commands but only on her right side. Her brain took a beating with this last round of spasms and the procedure yesterday did work the way they wanted. A 4 am CT showed that the spasms have backed off and things seem to be running good but are still concerned about the lack of movement. As of right now this is not a permanent thing because the scan showed good brain function. The large vessels in her head have reacted the way they wanted with the medicine their concern now are the small ones so they are filling her full of fluids and then expanding those fluids to keep the vessels open. Once the tube is out and she wakes up more they will start working on her religiously to get her brain working the way we want. So call this a good news and not the greatest news situation but she is where she should be all things considered. Dont lose hope its a set back for her but she is responding to us and the nurses/docs the way she should. Will update again as the tube comes out and we start working with her.
