Ok, here it is...My first rant of 2015! I made a promise to my dearest friend that regardless of the outcome of my own issues that I would try to help those who cant speak or fight for themselves. As many of you know, due to my disability Ive been unable to work to pay my bills. The Veterans Administration purchased my home via quit claim from Wells Fargo for $100 after the bank foreclosed and purchased it at Sheriff sale for $100 back in June. The Veterans Administration is proceeding with evicting me and not entertaining any possible solutions. (so much for the No Homeless Veteran Program). I was able to get through the holidays in my home but with everyone being away its been difficult to proceed in any direction so as of January 6th, Ill be homeless. I want to sincerely thank those who stood by my side in support (you know who you are) and kept me focused. Its because of your caring and compassion, not just recently but over the years, that Ive been able to find the strength to push forward. I dont have all the answers, nor am I prejudiced by any means, but I am biased and do know first hand that this has been a long and difficult run and know what Ive personally lost in the process. Its not just material things. I pray for all those who have had financial and health issues and have lost what theyve worked so hard for. I know for many its not due to laziness, not caring or taking responsibility. Its due to circumstances literally beyond your control. Its also due to a system that doesnt work. The banks feel they are above reproach. The wealthy run this country and turn their backs. We have homeless and starving right here at home and yet we send money to other countries. The President cuts Veteran funding by 65% to fund illegal immigrants to house, feed and give these non-citizens jobs. It is these things that are truly disturbing. We need to take a stand as a unified people to continue our way of life. So many have died in defense of our freedoms yet no one seems to care. We need to stop rioting in the name of those who have done wrong because you feel its a race thing. We need to stop the killing of innocents for doing their jobs simply because they wear a badge or anyone else for that matter. You need to listen to your heart and not to the voices of the fanatics. You need to focus on your neighbors who may be struggling to find their next meal. You need to stop kicking the homeless person on the corner because they are down on their luck. You need to stop looking in discontent to the ill people who physically cant work. You need to stop working the system that others genuinely need to survive because you are lazy. Its 2015 people! Wake up and take notice of whats going on around you, not what the media wants you to see. Use your voices for good not for the attention it brings. Theres more on the line here than you think. Look to the future that your children or your childrens children will be a part of. Together and unified we can make a difference and find a solution, not be a cause to the continued problem...
