Ok, its been a while so time for a rant. About a month ago we switched our home media bundle from Virgin to Sky purely for price reasons. Sky worked out about £10 a month cheaper. The installation went ok but we were told the broadband might be a little slow for the first 10 days or so while they worked out our usage. At the time of switching I was told that the tv package would be equivelent of the one we had from Virgin. Lo and behold it didnt have 75% of the HD channels. An extra £5 a month please. Not happy but still cheaper. Broadband remained sluggish and the land line would just go off randomly. Called Sky, an hour of mucking about later we had increased the broadband spead from 1mb to 1.5mb. It should have been 3mb. An engineer was booked for today. We then get a letter from Sky informing us that the price was going up buy £3.75 a month meaning that the saving we were making was now down to £1.25 a month. The engineer didnt turn up meaning that Kaz has had to waste her day. Whe I rang them I was told that the booking had been cancelled by them but they didnt bother to tell us. No offer to compensate for lost wages or time wasted. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told that they could arrange a call back within 24 hours. I said that was not good enough and they promised to call back within the hour. Needless to say they didnt so I rang them and insisted they give me a supervisor NOW! In the meantime the landline has gone down again. Ive cancelled my contract as we were just still in the cooling off period and we are back with Virgin come Monday at a reduced price for 6 months. The moral of this story is I should never have gone over to Murdochs shower of shit. I should have trusted my instincts about that bunch of arseholes!
