Ok ladies and gents, time for a serious post which I hope you can all take the time to read/share and respect... We have today attended a meeting with the Dockside management team along with their security and CCTV operatives. This was regarding the future of Medway Cruise! They, as have we had some concerns recently with the way the minority of people attending the Cruise choose to leave. Now Im pretty sure you all know where this is going and you would be correct we are talking about burnouts and subsequently the safety of all general public! Now we are fully aware you are not all guilty of it but this is an open warning to all participants. Dockside have today shown us the newly refurbished CCTV equipment and ANPR cameras they have up and running. This is by no means to hinder us but to help maintain a good and enjoyable meet. They have the potential to issue instant fines to people seen to be behaving in a inappropriate manner, there will be no arguing these fines, these fines will come through your letterbox and you WILL have to pay! The Medway Cruise is hosted by Dockside Management and is private property and as such have full legal entitlement to issues the aforementioned fines by post which unless paid will incur further penalties and or exclusion from the site! I hope you can appreciate that this is not us but is dockside in control of these measures but we will also support it. Anyone seen behaving like it will not be welcome back, we dont want this very successful and enjoyable meet coming to a end because of a couple of people that dont want to play by the rules. I would also like to add before there is any doubt, the Dockside team are still fully supportive of this event and want it to continue we just need to get this issue under control....
